So the game expects you to remember that and backtrack, meaning you have to visit a lot of caves twice. Thirdly, especially in the first hours of the game you will encounter so many areas that you can't pass through because you are missing some key item that you get later in the story. Secondly, there are a huge lot of caves and areas to explore, some of which have just one single exposition item. Here's why:įirst of all, running around is tedious and boring as there isn't even a sprint mode. However, if you decide to take a break from the story to do exploration, of which there is a LOT, the pacing is suddenly very off. If you follow just the main story, the balance between enemies and exploration is fine, and resource gathering works on the go. This game works really well with a fast-paced shooter, stealth and survival theme. ![]() The main gripe I have with this game is the exploration. ![]() It has a passable story, acceptable writing, an enjoyable fighting system and a lot of riddles. If you played TR1, this is more of the same.
